Chalet Blue Jay is a magnificent log cabin with a private in-ground heated outdoor pool. It is located within the prestigious Fiddler Lake Resort, just outside of Morin Heights, in the Saint-Sauveur Valley. The chalet sits on a large private wooded lot, with an area of over 85,000 sq.ft. Sheltered from neighbours and prying eyes, you have all the peace and privacy you need to completely enjoy your vacation. Relax at the cottage with your friends or family, enjoy many activities around and unwind in the hot tub and outdoor dry sauna (available all year long, for 8 people) or in the outdoor heated swimming pool (open from June 1st to the last weekend of September).

This very spacious chalet has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. It can easily accommodate 12 adults. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher and microwave. Other amenities include a satellite TV, High-Speed Wi-Fi Internet, pool table, ping pong table, poker table, washer and dryer.

Booking Policy

Base rate and additional fees:
1. The base rate is for 4 people or less (additional fee of $50 per night per add person in low season or $100 per night per add person in high season).
2. A cleaning fee of $200 applies for all rentals.
3. We accept pets (maximum of 2 pets per rental) but an additional fee of $ 100 per pet applies for the hypoallergenic cleaning upon departure.
Minimum stay:
1. A minimum of 2 nights applies at all times.
2. We do not accept daily rentals.
Weekends:
1. Weekend rentals are usually from Friday to Sunday (or Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday).
2. No arrivals or departures are allowed on Saturdays.
Number of persons:
1. Customers agree to respect the number of persons mentioned in the rental agreement.
2. Strict monitoring of the number of occupants is applied onsite. A penalty of $150 per night will be deducted from the security deposit for anyone not declared on the rental agreement.
Payment formalities:
1. A minimum deposit of 50% of the total amount, including taxes, is required by credit card at the time of booking to confirm your reservation in our system and secure the dates in the calendar.
2. The remaining balance (50%) of the stay will be automatically charged to the credit card on file 30 days before your arrival date.
3. A reimbursable security deposit of $ 2000 will be temporarily frozen on your credit card 48hr before your arrival date and released on your credit card within 24hr/48hr of your departure, if no damage is found and the cottage is returned to the same condition as on arrival.
Other applicable fees:
1. A 4% admin fee applies to payments by credit card.
2. A bank fee of $ 60 applies for international bank transfers.
Arrival and departure times for Chalet Blue Jay:
1. Check-in is after 6pm.
2. Check-out is at 1pm.

Cottage rules

Please note the cottage rules that apply to all participants:

1. It is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the cottage at all times. Smoking outside is allowed (a penalty of $1000 applies in the event of non-compliance with this rule);

2. For security reason but also to respect the serenity of the neighborhood and to preserve our sanitary installations, we expect the renters to respect the number of persons specified in the rental agreement at all times.

3. The Fiddler Lake Resort is a recreational site where tranquility is king. The use of RVs, ATVs, skidoos, motocycles and other motocross is strictly prohibited onsite. However, you can bring your ATV, skidoo or moto on a plateform to use it outside the domain (a penalty of $500 applies in the event of non-compliance with this rule);

4. For obvious security reasons, the use of fireworks is strictly forbidden at all times (a penalty of $1000 applies in the event of non-compliance with this rule);

5. No excessive sound is allowed outside the cottage or on the deck after 10pm (a penalty of $500 applies in the event of non-compliance with this rule);

6. The Lake Fiddler is an ecological lake where motor boats are forbidden. In order to avoid the blue algae (or other parasite) contamination from other lakes, we ask you to only use the boats provided to you and not to bring your own;

7. Outdoor fires are only allowed in the covered firepit (a penalty of $1000 applies in the event of non-compliance with this rule);

8. The use of tents, RVs or any other camping installation is strictly forbidden onsite;

9. We are not responsible for any accident in the cottage, in the hot tub, at the swimming pool, around the cottage or at the lake;

10. Any subrental is totally forbidden;

11. Guests are expected to prevent excessive noise after 10pm;

By booking directly on our website or through any partner platform, you are deemed to have read and agreed to comply with these rules, as well as all the other participants of your group. In case of non respect by the guests of any of those rules, we will not hesitate to retain the whole security deposit.

The Chalet Blue Jay (56) is located within the prestigious Fiddler Lake Resort, in the Laurentians. The area is located at the exit of the village of Morin Heights, about 1 hour from Montreal and only 15 minutes from the ski slopes of Saint-Sauveur. Note that Chalet Blue Jay is independent from the Resort.

Only a few minutes walk from the Silver Fox and White Wolf Chalets, explore our magnificent Fiddler Lake by canoe. This lake is an ecological lake where swimming is allowed, without motor boats. Canoes and life jackets are available in each chalet.

If you pass by Saint-Sauveur, be sure to stop by the Cotard Chocolatier store. His immense inventiveness and his love of chocolate earned Michaël Cotard, Maître chocolatier, the title of Best Chocolatier in Canada in 2015 as part of the prestigious World Chocolate Masters.

Go cycling on the linear park Le P'tit Train du Nord
Between Bois-des-Filion and Mont-Laurier, this well-known bike path follows an old railway line for 232 km. An ideal route to learn about cycle tourism with multiple possible stops in the villages. Luggage transport and shuttle offered.
Hiking at Mount Kaaïkop
In the Algonquin language, Kaaïkop means “bare, rocky, steep and high”. Formerly called Mount Legault, Mount Kaaïkop, at an altitude of 838 meters, is the third highest peak in the Laurentians. The grand tour offers a loop punctuated by splendid views of the other peaks in the region, including Montagne Noire and Mont Tremblant. We cross a dense forest of conifers before reaching its summit.

A classic for fall colors. The Grand Brûlé trail is a long climb punctuated by waterfalls, a beaver dam and several viewpoints over the village and Lake Tremblant. At the top, the most tired can take the gondola ($) or take one of the other trails that go down (Les Caps, 5 km, or the Vertigo, 6 km) or simply turn around. Parking fees at the Versant Sud Resort to be expected.

Hiking: The Great Valleys - Mont-Tremblant National Park (L'Assomption sector)
A round trip of less than 5 km with a rather modest elevation gain in a much less frequented sector of the park, what more could you ask for? From the belvedere, the panorama reveals an admirable view of the surrounding valleys. The ascent is made through a mature maple grove and the most attentive will note the presence of hemlocks, a rather rare species in this park. Starting point: Lac-de-L’Assomption picnic area, 15 km north of the L’Assomption information kiosk.

With La Cabane d’à Côté, Au Pied de Cochon offers a rustic table declined in picnic baskets. These are gourmet and can be eaten in the orchard. Local Quebec products are in the spotlight and prepared with the greatest care. The picnic menu changes every month.

Explore the region by snowmobile
Several companies rent snowmobiles near Chalets DesignPur and Villa Bianca, in Rawdon and Saint-Côme. Note, however, that we ask our customers to bring their snowmobiles on a platform in order to respect the tranquility of the neighboring chalets, and to use snowmobiles outside the estates, on the trails provided for this purpose.

Treetop Hike
Our Treetop walk at Sentier des cimes Laurentides is a new truly unique way to take in scenic views from above the trees. You will start the walk along a path that winds through the forest and up to the treetops. The nearly one-kilometre path leads to the observation tower that rises 40 m (equivalent to a 12-storey building) above the forest to offer a stunning bird’s eye view of the Laurentian forests and mountains. The walk ways and main tower, with a maximum slope of 6 degrees, are completely accessible to strollers and wheelchairs. From the top, you’ll have a breathtaking view of the rolling hills typical of the Laurentian mountain range, and landmarks such as Mont-Tremblant. The total distance including the tower walk is 2.7km round trip and takes about 2 hours.
Val-David-Val-Morin regional park
The Val-David-Val-Morin regional park offers outdoor enthusiasts a special place. This 600-hectare protected territory is criss-crossed by hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails. The Far Hills sector offers infrastructures allowing access to groups and young families. Dotted with various peaks, as well as two mountain lakes, the park offers you natural beauty and breathtaking panoramas in all seasons!

We stayed in the Chalet Blue Jay and the pool, sauna and hot tub area were incredible. The chalet was nicely decorated and well stocked we it’s comfortable beds. the host was very responsive to our queries and flexibility. Would absolutely recommend and we are already planning our next stay.

Wow! What a great and clean place! We loved our stay at Chalet Blue Jay. The pool table, the tennis table, the swimming pool, the spa, the sauna, the fire place, the lake, ... you won't get bored! The precise information received by email from Nicolas and the simplicity and clarity of the communications also make us want to try another chalet from the Zenya team! This was our second time at Chalet Blue Jay. A perfect place for a family getaway with the kids (and dog!). The pool, hot tub, and sauna is amazing. The cottage itself is beautiful with lots of space for everyone. Would highly recommend a visit - it's perfect for kids who like to swim (mine were in the pool all day, everyday !)
Great customer service from the point of booking, all the way to our departure. We hope to be back again !!

Nous avons eu la chance de rencontré le proprio lors de notre arrivé, un homme fort sympathique. À simplement une heure de Montreal, le trajet nous à semblé très rapide et accessible. Le Chalet est impeccable et très bien situé. Les nombreux loisirs inclus et les installations nous on permis de passer un agréable séjour sur place.

We stayed at he Bluejay chalet for a family weekend and had a great experience! The chalet was very clean and beautifully furnished. We were 7 people and a 3 year old and we never felt crowded in the open space of the living room/kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook and serve. We slept in the master bedroom and had en suite bathroom with a private balcony. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were amazing. The multi level deck and pool area was the highlight of our trip. The salt water pool was the perfect temperature and had ample seating (lounge chairs & Adirondack chairs). This chalet is a perfect getaway to disconnect from the city life and get closer to nature but still have all the comforts of a luxury home. Can't wait to go back.

Septembre 2022, j'y ai séjourné plus d'une semaine, un équipement au top, de la piscine, au sonna, du jacuzzi à la salle de billard... Tout y est pour un séjour inoubliable! Le propriétaire est toujours disponible pour conseiller et répondre au moindre besoin! la propreté et le confort y sont exemplaire, rien ne manque... Pour toute ces raisons mais aussi pour la qualité de l'environnement, j'y retournerai avec beaucoup de plaisir! Un séjour fabuleux à ne pas manquer.

Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre séjour au chalet Blue Jay. L'espace, l’intimité, le confort, la décoration, le service (de déneigement), tout était excellent.
Même si nous avions lu que la cuisine était bien équipée, nous avons été agréablement surpris entre autres par le nombre d’assiette à pizza, le poêlon à crêpe, la qualité des électros, etc..

Très beau chalet, au calme, au milieu des arbres. La nouvelle piscine est superbe et permet de profiter du soleil toute la journée. Le chalet est aussi équipé d’un billard, d’une table de ping-pong, d’un spa, d’un sauna, etc. Comme toutes les propriétés Zenya, le Blue Jay est très bien entretenu et le service client est impeccable.

Notre temps au chalet Blue Jay était parfait. Le spa était une partie préférée de toute la famille. Tout était propre et confortable. On avait tout ce qu’on avait besoin sur place. Il y a même tout pour des petits bébés/enfants ! Ils ont vraiment pensé à tout !

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour avec ma belle-mère et notre fille de 8 mois. Le chalet est magnifique, l’emplacement est très tranquille et les hôtes ont vraiment pensé à TOUT. La cuisine contient vraiment TOUT ce dont vous avez besoin et plus; four à raclette, à fondue, un mixeur Ninja et même un extracteur à jus. Les lits sont très confortables, nous avons beaucoup apprécié le sous-sol et la table de billard, et tout le chalet était d’une propreté irréprochable. Merci de nous avoir permis de passer des moments exceptionnels en famille!

Nous avons séjournés au Blue Jay, au Lac Fiddler, le Blue Jay étant le petit dernier de la famille Chalets Zenya. Nous avions aussi séjournés il y a un an au White Wolf... Dans les 2 cas, nous avons adoré tant l'expérience, le luxe et les commodités des deux chalets. mais nous avons eu un faible pour le Blue Jay : bien situé près du Lac, hyper tranquille, et le chalet est bien décoré. Les hôtes sont aussi remarquables, attentionnés et facile d'accès. Nous y retournons dès l'an prochain.

Absolutely LOVED this cottage... Amazingly decorated and every single thing you can think of in terms of kitchen items, etc... Backyard and firepit are awesome as well as the few with the picturesque windows! We have rented 3 of Nicolas' cottages now , each many, many times and we will continue to do so as they are definitely amazing and the dealings with Nicolas are always seamless and quick and efficient!

"Oh WOW" sont les premiers mots que nous avons tous prononcés en poussant la porte de ce magnifique chalet! Abondance de lumière naturelle, décoration simple, chic et de bon goût (pas de cossins inutiles!), SUPER PROPRE, grands espaces communs, cuisine abondamment équipée. Chambres à coucher TRÈS propres et confortables (lit, literie, oreillers). IDEM pour les 3 salles de bain complètes : impeccables. Nous avons aussi beaucoup apprécié et profité de la table de billard et la "table de jeu" style poker situées au sous-sol. L'extérieur en hiver est tout aussi enchanteur avec les arbres matures qui entourent le chalet, le foyer est l'endroit tout indiqué pour relaxer par un bel après midi ensoleillé d'hiver. Finalement, le propriétaire s'est montré accommodant et s'est informé sur la qualité de notre séjour dès notre arrivée. La qualité a un nom : Chalet Blue Jay! Dès les premiers instants, nous nous y sommes sentis chez nous: un gros coup de cœur ce chalet et nous y retournerons définitivement!

Beautiful log cabin nestled in the woods! The home is nicely decorated and very well maintained. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance and gadget and the bedrooms are cozy with comfortable beds. There is a trail access conveniently located in the back of the house and makes for easy entry for snowshoeing or a nice hike in a winter wonderland. There was very consistent upkeep of the exterior of the house with snow removal and sanding icy areas. The pool table in the basement was a great bonus for many hours of fun entertainment! This is a great house for a family!

Très agréable séjour au Chalet BlueJay. Nous étions 2 adultes avec 4 jeunes adultes et tout le monde y a trouvé son compte (ballade dans les sentiers enneigés, 10 minutes en voiture de Ski Morin Heights, Spa, foyer extérieur et intérieur, table de billard et table de jeu, cuisine complète, lits confortables, etc. Tout a été parfait. On y retourne c'est certain.

Lovely wooden chalet/ so cozy and warm. We had all we needed supplied. The game room was great - i became a pool expert ! The beds were comfortable and the pillows were fantastic
Kitchen was well stacked. Had a beautiful fireplace we sat by with our cocktails.
3 large bathrooms with bath or showers. Water pressure was hot and strong !
I would definitely recommend this place and they accept pets.

The chalet is located on a very peaceful and quiet location - perfect for our family. There was direct access to trails on the resort one of which lead to Lake Fiddler where the canoe sits and how we started each morning during our stay. The chalet itself had all the amenities we required. It was clean, tasteful and the large & plentiful windows allowed so much natural lighting which was lovely. The chalet is secluded enough if want to 'get away from it all' but also a short (~15-20 min) drive to charming Saint Saveur for local food & shops. We were also fortunate to see many blue jays in the area so the chalet was appropriately named! Nicolas was very responsive to our questions and feedback before, during and after our stay at the chalet.

Nous avons eu un très beau moment en famille au Chalet Blue Jay!! Endroit paisible dans la nature à 45 minutes de la maison. Le chalet est propre et d'une belle grandeur pour séjourner en famille ou entre amis.
Plusieurs divertissements sont disponibles sur place: canot, spa, feu extérieur ou intérieur, table PingPong,
table billard, jeux de sociétés, marche en nature etc. La vaisselle y est présente en quantité suffisante et les différents articles culinaires pour des mets plus élaborés y sont présents aussi. Chalet avec plusieurs lits et salles de bains afin de rendre votre visite confortable et plus intime.
Le seul point à améliorer selon moi aurait été l'ajout d'au moins une ou deux embarcations nautiques. Le chalet peut accueillir 8 personnes et possède seulement 1 canot.
Afin de diversifier les choix pour la clientèle et de rendre possible l'activité sur le lac pour tous au même moment l'achat d'un pédalo et d'un PaddleBoard serait une belle valeur ajoutée!

Nous étions 8 adultes et la grandeur du chalet était parfaite, les espaces communes sont immenses, la cuisine très bien équipée. Il ne manquait de rien, la vaisselle neuve, les lits très confortables, le spa était super propre, nous avons eu beaucoup de plaisir avec la table de billard et le coin feu à l'extérieur.
J'y retournerai avec plaisir n'importe quand! Merci à Nicolas qui a répondu super vite à toutes nos questions.
